The Department of Transport supports the Victorian community through its grant and funding programs. The following table provides a basic description of the department's grants and funding programs with links to further details.

Transport projects	The TravelSmart and Local Area Access Program grants encourage more sustainable travel behaviour and improve ease of access for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users to local facilities, jobs and activities.
Marine Safety Victoria	The Boating Safety and Facilities Program offers grants based funding to boating, fishing and community groups, search and rescue organisations, local waterway authorities, government agencies and committees of management.
VicRoads	Blackspot Programs target existing blackspots and black lengths on State highways, main roads and local roads.
