Public transport

Public Transport Safety VictoriaPublic Transport Safety Victoria exists to support the Director, Public Transport Safety ('Safety Director'). The Safety Director is responsible for administering a range of legislation directed toward the promotion of safety in train, tram and bus operations in Victoria.
Southern Cross Station Authority The Southern Cross Station Authority's responsibilities were transferred to the Department of Transport, V/Line and MetLink from 31 July 2009.
Transport Ticketing AuthorityThe Transport Ticketing Authority (TTA) manages all aspects of the state's involvement in the existing public transport ticketing system. TTA is also responsible for procuring and overseeing the delivery and operation of the New Ticketing System (NTS), referred to as myki.
Victorian Rail Track (VicTrack)VicTrack owns the majority of Victoria's rail infrastructure and land on behalf of the state. VicTrack also owns a significant portion of the state's passenger rolling stock (trains and trams).
V/Line Passenger CorporationV/Line Passenger Corporation was established in 2003 under the Rail Corporations Act 1996 to buy the shares in the country passenger rail business, which was owned by National Express.

Port of Melbourne CorporationThe Port of Melbourne is Australia's largest and busiest container port, handling 37 per cent of the nation's container trade. It is also one of Australia’s largest general cargo Ports.
Port of Hastings CorporationThe Port of Hastings Corporation has been established to manage and develop the port of Hastings in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner. It will ensure that essential port services of the Port of Hastings are available and cost effective.
Linking Melbourne AuthoritySEITA, now trading as Linking Melbourne Authority, was established in 2003 as a special purpose statutory authority to oversee the delivery of the $2.5 billion EastLink project, and more recently allocated responsibility for facilitating the $750 million Peninsula Link project.
VicRoadsVicRoads role is to contribute to the social, economic and environmental development of Victoria and Australia by managing Victoria's road system and its use as an integral part of the overall transport network.
Victorian Regional Channels Authority

The Victorian Regional Channels Authority, on behalf of the State Government, is responsible for the commercial shipping channels and navigation aids in Victorian port waters outside the port waters specific to the Port of Melbourne.
