About Transport Ticketing Authority
Transport Ticketing Authority (TTA) was established in June 2003 as a State Body with a dual role:
- Oversee Victoria's current Metcard public transport ticketing system contract.
- Procure and manage the new myki ticketing system for Victoria.
TTA is led by Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gary Thwaites, who reports to a Board of Directors chaired by Mr John Peoples.
As a body formed under the State Owned Enterprises Act 1992 (SOE Act), TTA reports to the Minister for Public Transport on transport policy matters and to the Treasurer for matters pertaining to the State Owned Enterprises Act.

Contracting partner- Kamco
Kamco was selected to work with Transport Ticketing Authority (TTA) to provide Victoria's next generation of public transport ticketing.
The $494 million contract was awarded following a nine month tender and evaluation process led by the TTA.
Kamco is a Melbourne headquartered consortium.

Freedom of Information
The
Freedom of Information Act 1982 provides for members of the public to obtain information held by TTA. The General Manager - Executive and Governance Support is the Principal Officer for the purpose of administering the requirements of the Act.
Requests for documents under the freedom of information legislation should be made in writing and accompanied by the statutory fee of $23.40 and addressed in the first instance to:

Privacy policy
TTA understands and respects your right to privacy and is committed to privacy protection.
As a State-Owned Enterprise subject to the Information Privacy Act 2000, the TTA has developed a
Privacy Policy (PDF, 157 KB, 17 pp.) to regulate the way that it collects, uses and handles your personal information. This document will be updated as the solution strategy moves into implementation.
Whistleblowers Protection Act
The
Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 is designed to protect people who disclose information about serious wrongdoing by public officers and public bodies. It also provides a framework for the investigation of these matters and for rectifying action to be taken.
In accordance with the legislation, TTA adopted a
Support to Whistleblowers Policy (PDF, 94 KB, 15 pp.).
