Melbourne's new Bumblebee (C2 Class) tram

Iconic yellow C2 Class trams are now in service on the city's busiest tram route, Route 96 (East Brunswick to St Kilda Beach).

The trams carry about 240 passengers and are on lease from the town of Mulhouse in France under a unique international deal by Yarra Trams through its French shareholder Transdev.

In total five trams have been leased until December 2011. The new trams will named Bumblebee 1 to 5.
