Regional bus service reviews

The Victorian Government is investing $14.7 million to improve bus and coach services in the South Gippsland and Bass Coast region.

Stage One improvements started on July 19 2009 and delivered an extra 134 services to the region, improving transport connections between towns in the region and to and from Melbourne.

Stage Two improvements started on 9 November 2009 and will deliver an extra 179 services, taking the total number of extra weekly services to 313, an overall 94% increase in bus services for the region.

Submissions

Consultation workshops were held between 9 September and 13 September 2008, and again between 13 October and 16 October 2008.

The deadline for submissions was Friday 31 October 2008.
