Taking practical steps for a sustainable future.
We are taking action now to position the Victorian transport sector to reduce emissions over the short, medium and long term.
Sustainable transport is not just about encouraging people to use public transport. It is about reducing carbon emissions on all transport modes across the entire transport system in Victoria and designing the transport system and our cities so there is less need to travel. The Department of Transport is currently
developing sustainable transport projects and initiatives to help achieve this goal.
