Dimboola to Rainbow rail line reopens
The 66 kilometre Dimboola to Rainbow section of the Yaapeet rail line has reopened, allowing a further 120,000 tonnes of Victorian grain to be transported by rail.

Government to consider report on grain logistics
The Minister for Ports and Minister for Roads and Public Transport have welcomed a report from the Grain Logistics Taskforce that identifies a number of potential measures for improving efficiencies in the grain supply chain.

Iluka mineral sands freight train commences trial operation
A trial of mineral sands trains between Hopetoun in northwest Victoria and Iluka's Hamilton Resources Separation Plant has commenced. The new rail freight operation will significantly reduce the distance the heavy mineral concentrate travels on road, cutting up to 20,000 truck movements a year to improve local amenity and reduce wear and tear on the roads.
