Freight Infrastructure Charge
The Freight Infrastructure Charge is being replaced by a more efficient licence levy that would be applied to the Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC).
The Government will apply a simpler system, with a much lower cost, by applying a licence fee to the PoMC that the Corporation will then be able to recover through its normal system of fees and charges that industry are aware of and work with every day.
