Research organisations

An application was submitted for the Volvo Research and Educational Foundation’s (VREF) Centre of Excellence (COE) for Managing Freight in the Urban Transport Situation, in September 2011.

Collaborative networks

  • Best Urban Freight Solutions (BESTUFS) - an European collaborative network that aims to identify, describe and disseminate best practices, success criteria and alleviate bottlenecks with respect to City Logistics Solutions (CLS).

General sustainability information

  • Ecostation - a joint initiative between the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) to assist companies in reducing their carbon emissions.
  • Greenpages - a directory similar to the Yellow Pages, with a focus on environmentally friendly goods and services.
  • Total Environment Centre - involved in environmental protection, takes an interest in government policy and advises businesses.
