City - Maribyrnong River:

• new bridge over Maribyrnong River
• bridge modifications at Dynon Road, Moonee Ponds Creek and Lloyd Street

Footscray - Deer Park:

• station upgrades and a new station at West Footscray
• two new grade separations at Anderson Road, Sunshine
• signalling works for the existing Ballarat line

Deer Park - West Werribee Junction:

• approximately 25 kilometres of new tracks
• two new stations at Wyndham Vale and Tarneit
• full depth railway cutting through Manor Lakes

West Werribee Junction:

• a new two track rail flyover to connect the Regional Rail Link to the Geelong-Melbourne line

Rail Systems:

• Train control, systems, signalling, telecommunications and passenger information systems across the line.
