Delivering the Sunbury Electrification

The Sunbury Electrification Project is being delivered by the Sunbury Electrification Alliance which includes the following partners:

• Public Transport Victoria
  
• O'Donnell Griffin and Laing O'Rourke Electrification Joint Venture including ARUP and BMD Construction
• Rail operators: Metro and V/Line

O'Donnell Griffin and Laing O'Rourke Electrification Joint Venture was announced as the successful contractors in December 2009.

An integral part of the project is the team's commitment to protecting heritage places close to the rail corridor.

The project is also committed to sustainable project outcomes and minimising environmental impacts throughout the life of the project.

The project is committed to working closely with the local community and providing opportunities to contribute ideas and suggestions for the redesign of the stations at both Sunbury and Diggers Rest. This process is called Community Inspired Design.
