Multi Purpose Taxi Program

The Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) makes transport more accessible for Victorians with a severe and permanent disability.

MPTP gives members half price taxi fares, paying up to $60 per trip. Some members have a yearly limit.

The cards cost $16.50 and are valid for six years.

The Victorian Government has made some changes to the application process for MPTP by introducing a web-based medical form for doctors to complete and submit online.

This process has also been simplified for applicants, with the required form being reduced in length and simplified.

If you already are an MPTP member, there is information about lost or stolen cards, renewing or updating your details, trip restrictions and using your card.

Please note: The MPTP member must not travel in a wheelchair accessible taxi when using a tilting or reclining mobile chairs as a mobility aid. These include high care chairs/beds, Princess, Duchess or Tub chairs.
