Prepaid fare labels
All taxis across Victoria will be required to display two external and up to two internal prepaid labels at all times from 1 August 2011.
Limited stock of prepaid labels for the initial roll-out across the entire taxi fleet has been distributed to Network Service Providers – these can be collected at no cost.
Labels are also available for collection from:
- VTD office - Level 23, 80 Collins Street Melbourne.
- VTD's Taxi Inspection Centre at Melbourne Airport.
Operators must ensure the labels remain in good condition and are replaced if necessary.
External labels will need to be sourced by licence holders and operators in the same manner as other taxi livery labels. These labels must be manufactured in accordance with VTD specifications (see below).
