Transfer and assignment of taxi licences
The Victorian Taxi Directorate (VTD) has assumed the core functions of reporting transaction prices and authorising persons to trade in taxi-cab licences.
Under this new arrangement, licence holders and prospective transferees and assignees will have the flexibility to choose whether they use an authorised trader to negotiate arrangements for the transfer and assignment of licences, or manage their own taxi licence transfer and assignment transactions by applying directly to the VTD.
